Biography

Sunflower, the symbol of the Green Party

Tristin Mock is the youngest of a large family and was raised in The Dalles. She earned a BA in history with concentrations in biology and international studies, before pursuing a certificate in gerontology. Most recently she earned a degree as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.

Tristin was highly active in her community even in her early years. She worked with many organizations including the county animal shelter, Special Olympics, 4-H, and FFA. It was during her time at The Dalles High School when Tristin's leadership skills began to develop. She was able to meet with her congressional representatives while attending the FFA's Washington Leadership Conference. This was the first of many trips that Tristin has made to the nation's capital to speak with her representatives about issues that are of great importance.

Tristin cares deeply about people. She spent the majority of her time as a naturopathic intern in low cost and free clinics. Her training in gerontology makes her especially sensitive to the difficulties that people face as they age. The raiding of Social Security funds to pay for the invasion of Iraq is extremely disturbing to her.

Tristin Mock lives in La Grande, Oregon, where she is a naturopathic physician at Golden Leaf Clinic and teaches at the Blue Mountain Academy for the Healing Arts. She spends her time with her daughter, attending peace vigils and the LG Farmers Market, tending the community garden, and cycling.
